Sinopsis

Synopsis

Closed and abandoned by the Colombian government in 2001, La Hortúa was a hospital that today shelters former workers and their families. As a form of protest to its closing, those affected moved in and are now squatting there. Buildings of what once was the most important hospital in Colombia are now crumbling while their inhabitants, as observed in their daily routines, become muted phantasmagoric beings wandering through the solitude, silence, and dusty memories preserved in the space. The answers of unavoidable questions about the past and the future of the hospital abound.
